Yeobin Yoon joins CCADD as a new intern.
Yeobin Yoon earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. She holds pharmacist licenses in both Massachusetts, USA, and in South Korea. During her PharmD training, she gained experience in inpatient and outpatient pharmacy settings through her clinical rotations, developing an understanding of interprofessionalism in healthcare.
After returning to South Korea, Yeobin worked part-time as a Patient Support Program (PSP) Specialist at CSL Vifor while preparing for the Korean pharmacist licensure examination. In this role, she supported communication and coordination among the Korea Orphan & Essential Drug Center (KOEDC), healthcare professionals, and third-party organizations to facilitate the accurate distribution of a newly approved medication prior to insurance coverage. This experience provided her with insight into the coordination required among different stakeholders to support the introduction and appropriate use of medications in clinical practice.
Through the CCADD internship, Yeobin hopes to contribute her perspective as a pharmacist to interdisciplinary research while gaining a deeper understanding of how artificial intelligence and data-driven approaches can support drug development and clinical use. She aims to strengthen her skills in data analysis and translational research and to build a foundation for future research at the intersection of pharmacy, drug development, and computational approaches.
